The Brownlee Foundation mini triathlon Acton 2016

Wowee what an awesome day! On Tuesday we had 700 mini champs getting active for The Brownlee Foundation mini triathlon at The Park Club in Acton (this is near The Collective HQ!).

Schools from the local area brought down their pupils to have a go at swimming, cycling and running for free in a fun and friendly environment to help inspire kids to love getting active! They even got to meet double Olympic medallists, Alistair and Jonny Brownlee who are the founders of The Brownlee Foundation! All the li’l athletes received a gold medal for having a go at the mini tri and of course got to gobble down our fresh yoghurt suckies, which went down a treat…some even wanted seconds.

We’ve had a fantastic year getting 6,000 kids participating in sport and we just can’t wait to do even more in 2017.

The Brownlee Foundation was set up to inspire kids and their parents to love getting active by offering free triathlons around the UK in partnership with schools.
